I seek inspiration in many facets of the human experience in order to better serve the world which I create for. I am particularly drawn to social justice, recognizing its crucial role in informing an equitable design practice.

I’ve had the pleasure of mentoring Layne for the last 9 or so months in all things design. Having mentored a few other designers, Layne really stands out: she’s exceptionally dedicated, hungry to grow and learn, extremely gracious, and instinctually inclined toward good design.

I don’t have to help Layne much before she’s sprung into some new design domain, figuring it all out, and producing excellent results. She carefully listens and internalizes everything, then immediately takes action, and before long she’s not only experienced but excelling.

When a friend or colleague asks for designer referrals, I always point them to Layne—I’m that confident in her skills and ability to deliver. With her background in art and an inherent ability for all things creative, Layne has that special immeasurable thing that makes a designer great: taste. Couple that with her drive to learn and grow, and you got yourself one killer designer!
